extravagant and clean.

nothing too thought provoking,
and nothing too creative

if we all drink from the glass of mediocrity
is it time to be on the offence
to the attack on our consciousness?
when we the masses
feel stinging
disappointment
and tune it out
with a million screams?

they distract us from the murder,
the lies,
the disheartening poor
and disease
block the bleeding,
the dissent,
common sense and
the enlightenment
yearning to awake
